3 Tips For Effective Business Entertaining

3 Tips For Effective Business Entertaining

When business entertaining, always remember the 3 P’s of business etiquette dining: Beginning, middle & end.

PAUSE: Wait for everyone to be served before picking up your flatware to start eating.

PACE: When dining with guests, don’t eat too fast or too slow. Go with the flow of everyone else.

PAYING: Never let the check be placed on the table because everyone awkwardly eyeballs it, even if they are the guest. So, eliminate that uncomfortable moment by giving the server, host, or manager your credit card before clients arrive.

PS: We all deserve a comfortable & confident place at the table.

“I thought it was very valuable. Though you cannot possibly take away everything, I think there were some key takeaways that I will certainly roll into my daily life. Inspire would be a great venue for her, because she would be especially “inspiring” to women and they would enjoy interacting with her and hearing her story in general. A speaker like Patricia is invaluable and something I took as a privilege to sit through.
