Vacation theme parks are the best part of summer. Here are a few do’s and don’ts to help you navigate, enjoy and make the most of your day at an amusement theme park.
#1. Map out your day the night before so you can have a plan for which theme park attractions are most important.
#2. Try your best to arrive when the theme park opens. Get there early and enjoy the rides, shows, food etc. before the masses arrive.
#3. Jot down the section, row and lane, etc. that you’ve parked in so you are not roaming around like a nomad at the end of the day in search of your car.
#4. Vacation theme parks are least crowded early morning and late afternoon, so plan your day around these times. Meal times …noon and 5 PM, are most crowded in restaurants. Plan your meals before or after the high-traffic times.
#5. Don’t forget your sunscreen and make it a goal to apply at least three times… early morning, lunch time and early afternoon.
#6. Do take your photos in the designated picture taking sections, not in the middle of busy walkways or in the stream of the biggest theme park attraction rides.
#7. Show respect to the ride attendants! Know the number of guests in your party and tell them promptly so they can get you on and off the ride in a timely manner. Also remember to give them eye contact while thanking them when you depart the ride.
#8. Remember that personal body space is important. Always keep a distance of 3 feet… around a yardstick length…from other people when possible.
#9. Do remember that bathing suits are for the beach, pools and also the Miss America Pageant. If you aren’t a contestant or enjoying the beach please leave your bathing suit at home.
#10. Keep it clean! Treat the amusement park like it is your own property. Make it nice for the folks that are coming after you. If you must smoke do so in a designated area and dispose of your cigarette butts in a proper manner.
