As humans our ultimate goal is to build strong, lasting, and lucrative relationships that impact that bottom line while bringing out the best in each of us. True leaders and changemakers are those who adapt quickly to every social situation and speak the modern language of social ability which is both in person and online.
1. Honor and respect to connect. Just as you would traditionally greet someone and thank them with their name in person you would do online. An online thank you through Yelp reviews, Facebook posts, or Google ratings help that local business flourish through your kind words.
2. Thoughtfulness. By remembering those special dates or items someone cherishes we show up as people who are invested and truly care about the people we connect with. When someone communicates a problem, remember that and circle back around to see if it got resolved. If they bring up that their computer crashed, they got the flu, or had a horrid travel delay, check back with them to see if they got the issue solved.
3. Attraction. Communicating with more clarity and persuasiveness verbally, non-verbally and through the written word. From online to in person, understand how that person best communicates and lean into that.
