Plan a Father’s Day Experience to Remember
Father’s Day is just a few days away and if you have not yet come up with the perfect gift idea, don’t underestimate the significance of spending quality time with the man who brought you into this world. Golf balls and ties are great, but experiences are memorable.
Here are some ideas that will help honor Dad in a special way:
- Nature Lover – If Dad loves nature, take him fishing, sailing, snorkeling, kayaking, horseback riding, tubing, rafting, or simply go on a nature hike, hang out at the beach, or start a camping tradition.
- Sports Fan – Play a round of golf at a local course or take golf lessons together, go to a baseball game, play miniature golf, go cycling, play tennis, go for a swim, try beach volleyball, see if you can arrange a meet and greet with Dad’s favorite athlete.
- Car Buffs – Go to a NASCAR or other racing event, drive go karts at a nearby track, check out an auto show or automobile museum, take the covers off the antique beauty in the garage and go for a drive.
- Extreme Adventure – Help Dad overcome his fear of heights by taking him bungee jumping, hang gliding, parasailing, skydiving, helicopter, plane, or even a hot air balloon ride. If he would prefer the less extreme, try scaling up a rock climbing wall or enjoy roller coasters at an amusement park.
- Dining – Take Dad to his favorite places to eat for breakfast, lunch and/or dinner, or make him breakfast in bed or cook up something special on the grill.
The most important thing to keep in mind on Father’s Day is to honor Dad in a special way and do whatever he would enjoy most. Take pleasure in spending quality time with him, even if that means just relaxing in the backyard or watching a ballgame together on TV.
Happy Father’s Day Dads!
