Business Travel Tips
Business travel is a necessary component for many growing companies but, isn’t always as glamorous as it sounds. Travel with ease and arrive with confidence by planning with intention.
These are my top travel tips:
Have a packing list template. Without a set list of items, you’ll inevitability pack your entire winter wardrobe and forget to include the necessities. When I travel frequently, I like to stick to my set packing list so that I won’t have to make a quick stop by CVS and Target before I even get to the hotel.
Collaborative Time. Before you leave on your trip, plan a time to connect with relevant industry leaders and organizations in the city. As much as business travel is necessary for that client or project expansion, you can use it as an opportunity to network with new leaders.
Updated Profiles. From your hotel loyalty program to your ridesharing account, before you hit the ground running make any necessary card information or address changes. There would be nothing worse than being stranded at the airport without an Uber to your hotel because you have to process your new bank card.
Pack an empty water bottle. Staying hydrated while you duck in and out meetings throughout your trip is your secret weapon. Packing a refillable water bottle helps you avoid those overpriced tourist shops.
Pack Snacks. Avoid the hefty price tags of hotel snacks packed with sugar by preparing before. My go-to snacks are granola bars and turkey sticks when I travel.
