Patricia Rossi and Colbert

This is Colbert.

He turned one business transaction into six using his soft social skills. What if you could turn each single transaction into six?

By the time I have finished referring Colbert, he will have turned one transaction into several hundred. Why? Because the people I hold most dear honor kindness, hard work and dedication and they in turn, will send Colbert their best and brightest inner circle posse’.

Colbert picked my hubby and me up on Thursday at JFK airport. We were on our way to an event that we hold close to our hearts – The Joe Torre Safe At Home Foundation. [http://www.joetorre.org/]

He was so professional and did all that he could to get us where we needed to go with ease and grace. He made trustworthy eye contact, gave us a credible & confident handshake, and had a smile that was warm & authentic. He also made relaxing conversation letting the cadence flow as it does when things aren’t forced or with agenda.

He asked us how long our stay in NYC was and whether it was for business, pleasure or both. We shared with him the event we would be a part of that night and the four meetings we had on Friday. He shared that his daughter attended Penn State and his son is 15 and campaigning for a driver’s license.

Five minutes before we arrived at our destination, Colbert said, “If you haven’t arranged pick up I will be happy to drive you on your return trip to the airport on Saturday.” And just like that he covered a task I didn’t have time to do.

He texted us the morning of departure to double check pick up times, and also five minutes before we were to check out of our room, simply stating ‘I am here in front. Take your time’. When we went outside, there was a sign on the car with our name. In a city with so much unfamiliarity, that was very comforting.

Once we were buckled in and en route to JFK airport he grinned and asked, “Did your sister survive the kids???” He listened, really listened when we shared that my sister was tending to our teenage boys.

We will be returning to NYC in May to follow up on our meetings in January. We have pre-booked Colbert.

I also texted two of my business associates who were in New York and gave them Colbert’s number, 484-769-8721, so they too could have a beautiful, restful, and enjoyable transportation into the city. My husband has done the same.

I often share with the audiences I speak to, that it’s so simple and almost too good to be true — soft skills make you strong, sharp and most importantly successful! Thank you, Colbert. I look forward to seeing a familiar face when doing business in NY in a few months.
